1. The Gateway of India
A monument built in the Indo-saracenic style of architecture, one of the must-visits if you’re in Mumbai. Below is a photo of the Gateway of India in the Mumbai monsoons.
2. Ride the Ferry
It can take you to Elephanta Caves (if you want), or you can simply take the 20-minute ride around the harbour.
3. Water sports at Girgaum Chowpatty
If you’re above 18 years old, you can charter a jetski, and ride in the Arabian Sea in front of the famous marine drive of Mumbai. If the weather is great, this is a fun experience to have.
4. Colaba Causeway
Shopping (Bargaining) little jewels to at least a 50% discounted rate. Eating at the famous cafés and bars which have seen the change of Bombay over the decades.
5. Bandra-Worli Sea Link
A drive under the cables of the Bandra-Worli Sea link at night is a wonderful experience. The sky towering cables lit in the night light, as well as the Worli skyline in the background. Image of the Bridge with the Mumbai skyline can be seen below.
6. Jehangir Art Gallery
A brilliant gallery, showcasing some of the most brilliant arts. It has the NGMA (National Gallery of Modern Arts) in its vicinity, as well as several budding artists showcasing their artworks on the roadside.
7. Theatre at NCPA (National Centre for the Performing Arts)
One of the many theatres in Mumbai, and perhaps the best. You could catch theatre performances by famous Bollywood actors like Anupam Kher, Naseeruddin Shah, etc.
8. Watch DDLJ (Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayegi)
The film has been running in Maratha Mandir, a particular theatre in Mumbai since the last 22 years non-stop.
